Quick Fix Thursday


This week's quick fix is to dry shaving!

I hate when I've just gotten all dressed in a cute, put together outfit, then remember that I haven't shaved my legs. Going to the bathtub and using water is a bit too messy, but dry shaving is painful, so I came up with a sort of alternative this morning :)

All it requires is:
A razor (obviously)
Lotion
A cup of warm water
A towel
To start, simply smooth a glob of lotion all over your lower leg area, make sure NOT to rub it in. The lotion needs to be visible for this to work. It stands in reducing the friction, and also helps you see where you still need to shave.

Simply shave your legs as normal, occasionally rinsing the razor and wiping it sideways on the towel to remove the hair and excess lotion. Once you finish with the lower leg, move onto the knee and then the thigh area.

I find this is easier to do than normal shaving in the shower because I can see if I've missed any hair, which is kind of hard to do in a dim shower, and if I have missed any hair, i can simply go back, put a bit of lotion on the spot, and reshave it, rather than having to get BACK in the shower, or simply being to lazy and leaving it. This also saves me the hassle of having to put lotion on afterwards, because I simply just rub in the leftover lotion, and my legs are all moisturized!
